I could pick on any one of dozens of writers but let's stick with Stephen Maher because he writes for the local paper. He has a piece up today where he says that Rockem-Sockem Magnotta was done in by his craving for fame.
Really? I never would have guessed.
Actually, just about anyone could have guessed. But all over the media people are pointing out this painfully obvious fact as if they had just authority the theory of relativity.
But, you know, that's not the worst part of it. The worst part is that the media seem blissfully unaware that they may have played a part in this. They act as if our modern fame-obsessed society just happened and they are merely recording it all.
