One of the more interesting things about a recent much-discussed survey of what philosophers think is the response to the question, "Analytic-synthetic distinction: yes or no?"
As you can see here 64.8 percent of philosophers either agree that such a distinction can be made or lean that way. That's odd because quite frankly trying to make such a distinction after Quine is like trying to square the circle after Lindemann and Weierstrass.
In a given context, where a whole lot of stage setting is assumed and accepted, we can make such a distinction but in the more profound sense implied by the question, sorry no.
