Jeffrey D. Sachs said something so stupid no one should ever take him seriously again

Here it is:

We need to elect a government for the 99%.

That will never happen and that never should happen.

To represent the 99 percent, a government would have to get the votes of 99 percent and maintain the support of 99 percent. No government ever will.

If you think about it, nothing is more important than having a government that is strongly opposed by a lot of people and knows it is strongly opposed.

Government that purports to be for the 99 percent has a name and that name is totalitarianism.
