The Art of Manliness was recommended to me a while ago and it is a great site. Yesterday they put up a post on forgiveness that is probably the best post they have ever put up. Your time is better spent reading it than anything I might have put up.
I agree, its excellent. Its unusual to see such insight and wisdom in someone so young, especially these days when its so lacking in people 30 and 40 yrs his senior. Here in the US--not in Canada--the criminal justice system is predicated almost entirely on retribution. But as he points out, forgiveness does not mean no accountability. That was part of the overall theme of Wm. Paul Young's "The Shack" that most people I've spoken with who read the book seem to have missed.
