in the beauty of the lillies

I love this song, have always loved it.

And what a choir. AS the Serpentine One says, how can that many people manage to sound as tight as barbershop quartet?

(I'll save Mad Men until tomorrow. There are more important things to think about today.

  1. As it happens, I dug out some 'MoTab' last night and gave 'em a listen, which I haven't in quite some time. Easter stuff in my case. Something about them is perfect for songs of priase, probably that which the Serpentine One notes. Brought back some memories--grew up with them--and then your post some more. Thanks.

  2. Thanks for commenting.

    I'm glad you enjoyed it.

There is something about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir that is just amazing. They're not just good now, they seem to have always been good. A lot of choirs are like gardens, they have a peak year and then they begin to fade or get overgrown. These guys just go on and on.
