By the way, because I have been travelling I have not had a chance to follow up the various links and stuff showing in the comments. I'll get to that when I get back and catch up on my sleep.
Anyway, another thought on Toryism. Those of us who have spent part of our lives in New Brunswick have a special interest in Toryism because the Loyalists, who, for all intents and purposes, founded New Brunswick, were tories.
And that is a touch subject because the Loyalists weren't just on the losing side of the War of Independence, they were on the wrong side. And it's a tricky living in a place where the founders based their society on values from the wrong side of history. More on this perhaps in the future.
